PLIESE learning tool is the ‘out of the box’ thinking of educators passionate about inclusive education through differentiated, ‘learning-by-doing’ teaching and learning.

PLIESE Learning Tool involves the registration of a learner as a Project Manager.
The PLIESE Project Manager negotiates the setup of a challenge-based project.
The Project Manager is supported by a qualified PLIESE Mentor.
The Project Manager and Mentor set up a support team of Learning Partners for the project.
Learning Partners are like-minded and skilled members of the world-wide community.
The Project Manager, Mentor and Learning Partners communicate through an online database.
Project Meetings are conducted via eMail, telephone and online video conferencing.

Is PLIESE available for Primary and Secondary students?

YES! We have been offering PLIESE support to students from Lower Primary through to Upper Secondary, and beyond. Because PLIESE is a service that tailors to the needs of individual learners the age of the student is not an issue.

But I am based in a rural area / international, how would PLIESE work?

WITHOUT AN ISSUE! PLIESE involves a school-based or organisation-based Mentor and a team of Learning Partners from the school and surrounding community. The student and their Learning Partners are supported by PLIESE Pty Ltd with ‘face-to-face’ meetings in person and via the wonderful technology of internet conferencing (Skype for example). All training required for the use of these technologies is also provided by PLIESE Pty Ltd.

Does PLIESE help build social skills?

SURE DOES! Each PLIESE involves the collaboration of the student and their team of Learning Partners. Communication between everyone involved in a project, including the PLIESE Mentor and PLIESE Pty Ltd may take the form of meetings, eMail, phone conferences, internet conferencing and virtual classrooms. All training required for the use of these technologies is provided by PLIESE Pty Ltd. It is all part of the individualised service!

Would PLIESE help with Literacy and Numeracy skill development?

SURE WOULD! PLIESE goal-based projects are set up to address issues in a student’s studies and compliment the focus of classroom learning. The PLIESE Mentor works in consultation with the classroom or subject teacher, the school, the family and of course the student. Aside to the project being focussed on specific wants and needs, the task of managing a project from a learners perspective requires the use of literacy and numeracy skills in order to interact with Learning Partners. PLIESE helps make the study and use of literacy and numeracy skills ‘relevant’ and ‘real-life’! Important for many of the students we work with.
